Both occurred in the Westside neighborhood of the city on Saturday, Feb. 15.
The first blaze happened at 3:25 p.m. at an apartment building at 75 Tresser Blvd.
Upon arrival, Engine 3 from the Westside Firehouse found heavy black smoke coming from a maintenance storage locker.
The fire was quickly extinguished with a hose line with no fire extension to the adjacent apartment building.
Four engines, one truck, one heavy rescue, and the on-duty deputy chief responded for a total of 26 firefighters.
No fire or civilian injuries were reported.
The second fire started around 3:35 p.m. on the seventh floor at an apartment on 26 Main St.
Upon arrival, Engine 4 from the Shippan Firehouse, and Truck 3 from the Westside Firehouse found heavy smoke originating from the apartment and confirmed a kitchen fire extending into the living room.
The fire was extinguished and placed under control in 10 minutes.
Smoke and fire damage rendered the apartment uninhabitable.
Red Cross was requested for relocation services for one occupant of the apartment.

The causes of both fires are under investigation by the Stamford Fire Marshal’s Office.
